In 2020, Otis Elevator Company spun off from its parent company and became an independent company for the first time in 167 years. We needed a spot to excite investors, customers and riders about the newly public Otis.


the challenge

Every day people ride Otis - especially in New York - but not many stop to think about it. Otis had been shaping the urban landscape for nearly two centuries. We needed to make the invisible visible.


the idea

A love letter to New York. 

On the day of the NYSE listing, we re-introduced the brand that set the world rising in 1853 with an ode to its birthplace, showing that Otis has been there from the start. A shorter version aired on CNBC. The full director’s cut below.
